Founded as a 501c3 non-profit organization in 2023, Broomfield STEM strives to expand access to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math opportunities to people of all ages in Broomfield, CO and the surrounding communities. Through partnerships within the STEM and educational communities, we work with local engineers, teachers and volunteers to foster a community based on respect, inclusion, teamwork, a love of learning, and fun. Currently our focus is on providing engaging and accessible competitive robotics programs for students in grades K-12 through the Broomfield Robotics Club in which we can provide a deep, hands-on dive into multiple branches of STEM curriculum. For more information about Broomfield STEM, please contact our President, Karoline Jarr.

    PRESIDENT

Broomfield STEM fosters diverse, empathetic, and collaborative problem solvers that are needed to take on big challenges of the future. I’m so excited to see the impact these students will make in our community. My professional work allows me to impact students and teachers in all 50 states and beyond. I have led national K–12 STEM initiatives and own an educational consulting company focused on forward-thinking and career-focused learning. I enjoy spending time with family, reading, writing, traveling, and binge-watching documentaries.

  • Kevin Fattor

    TREASURER

I am the Chief Product Officer of Financial Finesse. Previously, I worked as a strategy and technology consultant for more than 20 years. I have previously served on boards of educational non-profits, and I am excited to help Broomfield STEM empower, inspire, and connect Broomfield's young people!

  • Anne Carpenter

SECRETARY / EDUCATION & COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

Growing up I always loved technology. Living in Singapore helped get the latest technology into my hands and helped grow my interest in the field. After a decade of teaching elementary school I made the switch to teach grades 3-12 technology. As a mom of six and a teacher, I love that Broomfield STEM is bringing many opportunities to kids in our community.

  • Arian Lalezari

    INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS

After finding a love of STEAM subjects early in my education, I've been lucky enough to turn that love into a career. I'm the CEO of a local technology company, where I particularly enjoy working with new generations of bright, young engineers. I am also the father of two young children, and my family and I enjoy all things outdoors—especially camping in the summers and skiing in the winters—and also learning, building, and exploring. I am excited to help support an organization that fosters cooperation, creativity, and critical thinking.

  • Jamie Rumsey

I have a background in elementary, bilingual, ESL and GT education, and am committed to helping all students foster a love for learning and solving challenging problems.
